    You Might Be a David

    You Might Be a David

I just finished watching House of David on Amazon Prime last night. I actually started it on the plane — mentioned it in my last post. Didn’t expect it to hit me like it did.

    But man… it did.

Something in me stirred the whole time. The warfare. The anointing. The betrayal. The calling. It was like watching parts of my own journey — just ancient and royal and playing out on screen.

By the end, I couldn’t shake the thought:
“I think I have a heart like David.”

Not because I’m perfect. Far from it. But because I get him.

The worship. The warfare. The wild faith.
The mistakes. The recovery. The refusal to let go of God, even in the dark.

Some of you know exactly what I mean.

    Here’s what I believe He’s saying:

    YOU MIGHT BE A DAVID

You don’t need a crown to be royalty in the Kingdom.
And you don’t need a throne to carry the heart of a king.

    Some of you reading this?
    You're not just like David.
    You ARE a David.

    Overlooked.
    Underestimated.
    Anointed in secret.

You’ve fought battles no one clapped for.
Survived betrayals that never made the highlight reel.
    You’ve praised God through heartbreak,
held the line when no one else would,
and worshiped when it would've been easier to walk away.

    Just like David.

    David didn’t have perfect behavior.
But he had a perfect pursuit — after God’s heart.

He didn’t chase platforms or titles.
    He chased presence.
And that’s why God trusted him with influence.

If you’ve ever felt like the one left out, passed over, or misunderstood —
but you keep showing up anyway…
if your worship is loud, your repentance is real, and your fire never quite goes out —
    you’re in good company.

    David was a shepherd. A poet. A warrior. A fugitive. A king.
    All in one life.

    And guess what?

    So are you.
    Shepherding hearts.
    Fighting battles.
Wrestling with God in the quiet.
Singing your way out of caves.

    So here’s your reminder today:

You don’t need to look like a king to carry the mantle of one.
God already knows the crown fits.

Stay hidden until He reveals you.
Stay humble when He elevates you.
Stay holy when the world tries to pull you back.

Your name may not be David,
but your heart is already known in Heaven.

This is so encouraging! I always think of Davids wrongs but you are right, he is constantly pursuing Gods heart. God sees this and exults Dave for it making him a righteous example to all of us‼️🙏 Follow Davids heart ❤️
